Devon

Moorvision is a support group for anyone caring for a child (0-21yrs) who has a visual impairment. A chance to get together and talk through all the issues, including the feelings of isolation that many families of VI children feel. Newsletter, parents’ evenings and family days out. 

Speakers are invited on topics including medical issues, education, large print & Braille books, audio cassettes and CDs, computer technology, benefits and lots more! 

Meetings in Plymouth, Ivybridge, Torbay and Exeter and happily welcome families from all over Devon.

SAVIC was set up in the year 2000 by a group of parents of visually impaired children living in the South Ayrshire area who wanted to establish a support network for parents incorporating frequent meetings with speakers on useful subjects such as benefit entitlement for our children, explanations of the many eye conditions, local leisure facilities, mobility support etc.
